911 Calltaker

The 911 Calltakers are the individuals who answer initial calls for emergency assistance. They are call facilitators. They are the first voices you hear when you are afraid, need medical attention, need fire suppression assistance or when you need police assistance.

Requirements for All 911 Call Taker Candidates

Education
Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Physical and Drug Screening
Each candidate will be given a physical exam and drug screening prior to receiving a job offer.

Cognitive Skills Testing
911 call takers must complete a series of pre-employment assessments that measure cognitive abilities and skill sets. Additionally, a pre-employment personality assessment is required.
